Important 2025 Tax Update: Qualified Overtime Deduction

For tax years 2025 through 2028, certain taxpayers may qualify for a federal deduction for qualified overtime compensation under the One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act. For 2025, many employers were not required to separately report qualified overtime on Form W-2, which means some taxpayers may miss the deduction if their return is prepared without a careful review of payroll records and IRS guidance. Bravo Tax & Advisory reviews wage reporting closely to help clients identify deductions and opportunities that may otherwise be overlooked.

About Bravo Tax & Advisory

Tax Strategy for Small Businesses, Contractors, and S-Corporations

Bravo Tax & Advisory is a San Diego-based tax firm led by Oliver Jassal Bravo, an Enrolled Agent (EA) federally authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS. Also known professionally as Oliver Bravo and Jassal Bravo, he works with individuals, self-employed taxpayers, contractors, Schedule C businesses, and small business owners nationwide who want to reduce tax liability, improve tax strategy, and operate more efficiently.

Our specialty is helping sole proprietors, self-employed taxpayers, independent contractors, and small business owners understand when it makes sense to remain on Schedule C and when it may be more beneficial to transition into an S-Corporation. Many taxpayers overpay simply because their business structure, deductions, and tax planning are not properly reviewed.

Oliver Bravo specializes in tax preparation, tax planning, Schedule C strategy, S-Corporation planning, and identifying deductions and tax opportunities that many taxpayers overlook. We help clients evaluate entity structure, implement tax-saving strategies when appropriate, and stay compliant with ongoing federal and state tax filing requirements.

Jassal Bravo and Bravo Tax & Advisory also assist clients with IRS notices, representation, proactive business guidance, and long-term tax planning. We carefully review tax documents, wage reporting, contractor income, and business expenses to help clients identify reporting issues, missed deductions, and planning opportunities that can make a meaningful difference.

Our goal is simple: help individuals, self-employed taxpayers, and business owners stay compliant, structure properly, reduce unnecessary tax liability, and keep more of what they earn through effective tax preparation and strategic tax planning.
